LINKS: Comparing And Contrasting Attributes

Have you ever seen a gigantic mountain? Or tasted a sweet, purple grape? Adjectives are the words we use to describe the world. They are the details that make sentences more descriptive, interesting, and meaningful. Links allows students to use their comparing and contrasting abilities as they place familiar objects on the Venn diagram game board according to the attributes they possess. While playing, students refine the following skills:

• Increase categorical thinking
• Enhance comparing/contrasting abilities
• Learn adjectives for noun elaboration
