Award-winning author Gail Anderson-Dargatz has written more than a dozen books, including Cure for Death by Lightning and A Recipe for Bees, which were finalists in their original English version for the Scotiabank Giller Prize. She is also the author of numerous short novels for young people with reading difficulties, including Bigfoot Crossing, Iggy's World and The Ride Home (original version of The Infernal Bus) which was nominated for a BC and Yukon Book.
