Reading Stars Phonics Teaching Resource Pack

The Reading Stars Phonics Teaching Resource Pack supports the phonics reading books in the Ransom Reading Stars programme. It contains resources to support literacy teaching using the phonics reading books from Phase 1 to Phase 5 of Letters and Sounds.

The pack contains:

• teacher’s notes to support each book
• detailed lesson plans, enabling teachers to deliver a structured literacy lesson for each phonics book
• photocopiable flashcards containing all letters, sounds and high frequency words met in the Reading Stars Phonics reading books.

The pack enables teachers to support children’s knowledge of their letters and sounds, prior to moving on to book bands for guided reading.

Reading Stars Phonics is a programme of 133 fully decodable synthetic phonics readers aligned to Letters and Sounds.
