The cartoon art quickly catches students' attention. This stimulates them to be attentive, since they can only be successful if they listen carefully because specific modifiers, spatial words and catchy phrases identify the pictures and their instructions. Students are to work on the large picture page while the instructor reads that picture's fun and challenging directions aloud. The students are not to read any of the questions as the purpose of these activities is to provide practice in listening skills.
The book has 33 two-page lessons, for a total of 66 pages. Directions for use are on each instructional page. This allows the lessons to be easily reviewed at home.
