Interest Age: 6 to 12

Are you are a speech-language pathologist working with students who lack logical thinking and adequate problem solving skills? DOT Reasoning and Problem Solving provides a motivating way to assist your students in thinking independently, reasoning logically to solve problems, determining causes of events, predicting outcomes, making inferences, and much more.

This workbook is set up just like the other DOT workbooks. Each student should be given a paint marker (bingo-type marker) and a game sheet prior to reading the easy-to-follow directions that appear at the top of each worksheet. The students are able to dot up the open circles on their game sheets as they correctly answer the questions.

DOT Reasoning and Problem Solving targets nine crucial areas for developing the language-based skills needed to develop better thinkers. The targeted areas are:

  • Identifying Problems
  • Predicting
  • Determining Causes
  • Making Inferences
  • Determining Missing Information
  • Problem Solving
  • Sequencing
  • Identifying Facts & Opinions
  • Determining Absurdities
  • Stating/Justifying Facts & Opinions

Improve your students reasoning skills so that they will be able to understand cause and effect, avoid problems, make logical choices when problems arise, and be successful thinkers inside and outside of the classroom!

Paint markers/Ink daubers included, and also sold separately, if extras required.
