Yenn Purkis

Yenn (formerly Jeanette) Purkis is an autistic and non-binary author, presenter, and advocate. Yenn is a passionate advocate for the rights of autistic people. Yenn facilitates the Canberra Autism Women's Group and has had several media engagements. Yenn has given a presentation for TEDx Canberra and is a regular and popular keynote speaker at autism and mental health events. She is the author or co-author of several popular books on mental health, work and life skills for those on the Autism Spectrum.

Yenn is a policy adviser for the Australian Public Service where she has worked full-time since 2007. Yenn was the 2016 ACT Volunteer of the Year and she also facilitates a support group for women on the autism spectrum and has a weekly internet radio show. She lives in Canberra, Australia.
